ISCGB Novice FT Attleborough, Norfolk Tuesday 9th January 2007

 

 

This was the first HPR trial at this ground and we were very well looked after by our host, and the keeper and his team.

The ground available to us was a large acreage of mostly long grass with small boggy areas and open tree lines. The day was bright and a gentle breeze allowed all dogs to find game on their beat. We saw pheasant, duck and woodcock.  4 GSPs, 4 GWPs and a GLP, W, LM and IS ran.

The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed and, thanks to the judges, the onlookers were able to see and appreciate the better dog work. The results were a reflection on the excellent day enjoyed by all.

NB:- Helen Evans LM becomes a Ch as this first award allows her to drop the Sh.

Ingrid Moyser’s Italian Spinone Bosco (Hollutrix Dante) on their first FT had two superb runs and narrowly missed a top award. She was congratulated by judges, guns and fellow competitors for the quality of Bosco’s work and the calm professional way in which she handled him.
